Established and owned by Artisan Chocolatier Shennice Cleckley, Literary Sweets Café was located in the North Main Plaza in Historic Eau Claire. Literary Sweets Café is an experience like no other. It provides a warm and inviting oasis of relaxation. Literary Sweets is a one of a kind treasure that offers books, coffee and handmade chocolate under one roof.

Our expanded menu also includes: fruit juice smoothies, blended coffees, flavored teas and our own Tea Chillers. Oasis of Relaxation Literary Sweets Café is perfect for small meetings, parties, and Bible studies. Reunite with old friends over a cup of coffee, impress new acquaintance or study for class in a relaxing, calm and smoke-free atmosphere. Artisan Chocolatier Shennice Cleckley Shennice Cleckley believes in working her passion of books and chocolate! In July 2005, the Columbia native, affectionately known as “The Chocolate Lady”, opened her first dessert location, called “Literary Sweets” on Two Notch Road in Northeast Columbia.
Shennice is an advocate of community service and donates her time and efforts to empower the community spirit. Empowering women and entrepreneurs is another one of her many passions. She is the founder of Wonderfully Made Woman, not-for-profit organization of women dedicated to fostering women’s empowerment through philanthropy, service, mentorship and education. Through her agency, The Idea Boutique, Shennice mentors clients with techniques and programs to bring their ideas to life. Her civic and business memberships include Women In Philanthropy , Order of the Eastern Star and Chamber of Commerce Diversity Committee.
Shennice resides in Columbia with her husband LeBrian, and their three children Adrienne, Kiersten, and Jared. |
